[edit] Literature for outreach

[edit] Literature Distribution

  • The supply of Christian literature is hindered in the places of greatest need because of poverty, difficulty of distribution, cost of printing, using expensive materials from the West and rampant inflation. Pray for adequate funding mechanisms in Eastern Europe, Africa and poorer parts of Asia so that indigenous publishing and printing operations can become viable. Well-intentioned Western subsidizing of their own material often undermines efforts to establish indigenous literature ministries. Pray also for BookAid, an innovative method of donating second-hand Christian books to poor countries for sale and for the support of indigenous literature agencies. CLC International are also working with Western publishers to make good quality, new books available at more reasonable prices in the developing world.

[edit] Bible League

  • Bible League - AROUND THE WORLD: Over Four Million Bibles and NTs Handed Out
  • Bible League workers handed out more than four million Bibles and New Testaments in 2007 to four millions of people worldwide. Additionally, more than three million Bible studies were completed and more than 539,000 individuals became part of a church.

[edit] Bible in China

  • Although a limited number of Bibles are now allowed to be printed inside China, there remains a serious lack because of the tremendous growth rate of the church in ruraul areas of China. Millions of Christians are still without God's Word.
  • A letter: Praise the LORD for the Bible delivery we received recently. We do not want to sound greedy and ungrateful, but could you please send us more? We need 60,000 Bibles this year just keep pace with the growth the Lord has given us in recent years.

[edit] Middle East

  • For the word of God to bear spiritual fruit and be instrumental in leading men and women to the Lord, it must be distributed as widely as possible. Such abundant sowing has born fruit. Believers targeted a religiously conservative town, near mountain borders, for a New Testament distribution. Some of these New Testaments came into the hands of a few men searching for meaning and truth. The truth about Jesus was read and accepted and a church was born, as these new believers shared their discovery of the truth with friends and family.
