  • Two separate parts - the West Bank (controlled by Fatah) and the Gaza Strip (controlled by Hamas). The Palestine Authority in the West Bank controls the main towns and scattered enclaves. The rest is made up of 240 Jewish settler enclaves and areas controlled by the Israeli military authorities. The intense half-century of conflict between Arabs and Israelis urgently needs resolution and a lasting settlement. The future of the Palestinian exiles is uncertain. (Two million live in 61 refugee camps in surrounding lands.)

  • Christian Palestinians. Numbers have declined dramatically from around 12% in 1940 to 1.4%, because Christians have moved to other parts of the world. Thank God for the Christians and Jews that remain in Palestine, and pray for their protection.
