[edit] The Mission Exchange

The history of the Evangelical Fellowship of Mission Agencies (EFMA) is closely connected with the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE). When NAE was formed in 1942, there was an almost immediate recognition that the missions arm of NAE members were not engaged with each other in any specific way. Out of that realization, the missions committee of NAE was formed. By 1944, a missions conference was held to explore the need for a specific association of mission agencies. Out of the momentum of that conference, EFMA was formed in 1946, with fourteen charter members.

In September 2007, EFMA became The Mission Exchange.
